Rihla is a short film that shows the imaginary journey of a man who travels from Baku to Amsterdam. His character is composed of a collection of literary fragments dating from the 14th century until today. The original texts are largely written by Arabs travelling to Europe.
The word Rihla means journey is search of wisdom or knowledge and is know by Ibn Battuta's book by that title that forms a travelogue containing fiction, islamic study, poetry, observations and other forms of writing.
