Detroit dealers

An industrial family drama in the age of smoke

In a visual crossover of documentary, theatre and music, the story of the rise, hayday and demise of the American car industry is told, from the perspective of the grandson of late Opel dealer Arie Bart.

The production has been made partly in Detroit and had its international premiere at the Distictively Dutch Festival in Pittsburgh, February 2012.

Alongside the performances Wunderbaum organises talks about a possible answer of the car industry to the state of crisis in society, environment and industry.

In Amsterdam this talk will take place on Wednesday June 20, 5 pm at the Volvo Van Vloten location. Guest will be Alef Arendsen (The New Motion) and Robert van den Ham (Autoweek).
